Au centre, placé sous la mitre papale, le cœur flamboyant surmonté de la croix, entre les armoiries de l’université catholique du Sacré-Cœur et celles du pape François Ier, à l’écu d’azur portant en partie haute le soleil rayonnant et flamboyant chargé des lettres IHS de gueules (la lettre du milieu surmontée d’une croix) et des trois clous de sable, emblème de la Compagnie de Jésus, et en partie basse l’étoile et la fleur de nard (hommages respectifs à la Sainte Vierge Marie et à Saint Joseph) ; dans la partie inférieure, les deux clés d’or et d’argent décussées aux boucles traversées par une corde et la devise MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO (en français CHOISI PARCE QUE PARDONNÉ) ; dans la partie supérieure, l’inscription NEL CUORE DELLA REALTA ; sur la gauche, contre le listel, la signature de l’artiste graveur Claudia Momoni suivie de la mention INC. At the center, under the papal mitre, the flaming heart surmounted by the cross, between the coat of arms of the catholic university of the Sacred Heart on the left and the one of Pope Francis on the right : the shield Azure, bearing in its upper part the radiant sun, carrying Gules letters IHS (H surmounted by a cross) and three nails Sable, and in its lower part the eight-pointed star (tribute paid to Saint Joseph) and the nard flower (tribute paid to the Virgin Mary) ; in the bottom part, the gold and silver crossed keys and the motto MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO (in English BY HAVING MERCY, BY CHOOSING HIM) ; in the top part, the inscription NEL CUORE DELLA REALTA ; on the left, against the rim, the signature of the artist engraver Claudia Momoni and the letters INC.
