Au centre, les armoiries du pape François Ier, à l’écu bleu portant en partie haute le soleil rayonnant et flamboyant chargé des lettres IHS en rouge (la lettre du milieu surmontée d’une croix) et des trois clous noirs, emblème de la Compagnie de Jésus, et en partie basse l’étoile et la fleur de nard (hommages respectifs à la Sainte Vierge Marie et à Saint Joseph), sous une mitre placée entre deux clés d’or et d’argent décussées aux boucles traversées par une corde ; dans la partie supérieure la légende FRANCISCVS PP. A. MMXXII (traduisible par LE PAPE FRANÇOIS IER, L’ANNÉE 2022 DU SEIGNEUR) ; dans la partie inférieure une bannière à la devise MISERANDO ATQVE ELIGENDO (en français CHOISI PARCE QUE PARDONNÉ) et les signatures de l’artiste sculptrice Daniela Longo et de l’artiste graveur Marta Bonifacio
