Au centre, placées entre les deux anges sculptés par Antonio Canova et ornant le Monument aux Stuarts royaux (mémorial situé dans la basilique Saint-Pierre de Rome), les armoiries du pape François Ier, à l’écu bleu portant en partie haute le soleil rayonnant et flamboyant chargé des lettres IHS en rouge (la lettre du milieu surmontée d’une croix) et des trois clous noirs, emblème de la Compagnie de Jésus, et en partie basse l’étoile et la fleur de nard (hommages respectifs à la Sainte Vierge Marie et à Saint Joseph), sous une mitre placée entre deux clés d’or et d’argent décussées ; bannière à la devise MISERANDO ATQUE ELIGENDO (en français CHOISI PARCE QUE PARDONNÉ) en dessous ; sur la gauche, la signature de l’artiste graveur Claudia Momoni ; sur la droite, la signature de l’artiste sculptrice Gabriella Titotto.
