Le millésime 1985 surmonté de la marque d’atelier de la Monnaie Royale d’Espagne (M couronné) et un dessin réalisé par l’artiste Francisco Martínez Tornero, dont la signature en monogramme apparaît sur la gauche, en hommage au religieux Frère Junípero Serra, prêtre missionnaire franciscain, montrant ses pieds chaussés de sandales, en marche à gauche et portant un chapelet ; en légende, les noms des villes de San Diego, Los Angeles et San Francisco, et l’inscription “IL CENTENARIO” (en français “LE CENTENAIRE”) surmontant les années 1784 et 1984, pour la commémoration des deux-cents ans de la mort de l’homme de Dieu
