Légende : ★ НАРОДНА РЕПУБЛИКА ★ БЪЛГАРИЯ (en français ★ LA RÉPUBLIQUE POPULAIRE ★ DE BULGARIE) ; le tout dans un cercle de grènetis longeant le listel

In a circle, the emblem of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, featuring a standing lion walking left to edge of coin, between two stacks of ears of wheat, on top of which appears a five-pointed star, and around which is wrapped the banner bearing the inscription 681 1944 (date of the beginning of the Bulgarian Empire and date of the beginning of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria). Legend : ★ НАРОДНА РЕПУБЛИКА ★ БЪЛГАРИЯ (in English ★ THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC ★ OF BULGARIA) ; all in a dotted circle along the rim
